NEW WATER METERS
The Authority has begun a system-wide meter replacement project for all residential sized meters. Residential meters are typically assigned to service lines of a 5/8 inch or 3/4 inch diameter.
National Metering Services, Inc. (NMS) has been selected as the Authority’s installation company. To learn more about this company, visit www.nmsnj.com. During this project, NMS will be making arrangements to come into your home to replace your water meter. Employees are subjected to background checks, are required to be in uniform, and carry identification.
You may contact NMS directly at 888-448-0009 to arrange for an appointment. NMS technicians will also be going door to door in attempts to expedite the project. Due to the nature of the new metering technology, meters cannot be activated by your local plumber. You must have the installation completed by a NMS technician.
